2006-september-22 | The biggest party of Santa Cruz do Sul is ready to begin. The 22th Oktoberfest and 2nd Oktoberfeira occurs from October 5th to 15th. To encourage the Party of Joy of this year, that has the slogan "German music gives the tone of this party", 25 bands will have 124 presentations in diverse stages, offering more than 500 hours of music and animation.
With the objective of promote and divulge the German language and rescue customs of the local families, will have classes of the language during the events. "The idea is to make that all participants go home knowing how to spell words in the language that is kept alive in our region", said the coordinator Eduardo Alves. Beyond the German language, the rescue of the typical gastronomy also will be in highlight, with the School of German Culinary, that was a sucess last year. During the event, will be promoted free workshops to the visitors, with the production of cakes, breads, biscuits and others products. "The participation in the school is open to everyone interested in learn a little more about the typical German culinary", emphasizes.
