The city of Santa Cruz do Sul is located in the northeast hillside of Rio Grande do Sul state, 155 km far from Porto Alegre, the capital of the state. The total population is 120 thousand inhabitants.

Besides the tabacco pole, the municipal administration is creating incentives to diversify the city´s economy and one of this incentives was the creation of technological pole where nowadays Imply Tecnologia Eletronica is settled as the pioneer of the project.
